The first gesture

Composition

  • The piece is not a fixed form, but a composition of 3 individual motifs open to rearrangement by its wearer. It may be worn whole or recomposed in selected combinations; an included extension chain allows certain motifs to be worn independently as bracelets.

Materials

  • Cultured Freshwater Pearls | Ivory and soft-pink baroque pearls interspersed with round pearls; each varies naturally in contour, lustre, and tone.
  • Vintage Glass Beads | Bohemia, 1920's-1940's;West Germany, 1960s–1980s. Featuring distinctive moulded forms, imitation fire-opal effect, matte finishes, and marbled glasswork. Sourced from limited, discontinued vintage stock; subtle variations in colour and detail may occur. Double-sided glass elements are individually set into hand-finished brass mounts. Each mount is shaped and polished by hand to closely fit the glass, with subtle variations that echo the individual contours of the baroque pearls.
  • Brass|Gold-plated brass chains and connectors; pearls are individually joined by hand with brass wire, leaving deliberate intervals that allow metal, light, and negative space to shape a natural rhythm.

Wear
  • Matinee length, falling from the collarbone toward the upper chest. Wear alone or layered with a finer, shorter necklace.

Care

  • Pearls have a naturally delicate surface. Avoid impact, abrasion, and contact with hard objects to prevent scratching.
  • Keep gold-plated brass away from perspiration, perfume, chemicals, and moisture. After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth and keep dry to help prolong the finish.
  • All plated finishes gradually wear with use, friction, and environmental exposure; plating is not permanent.
  • Store separately to prevent chains from tangling and pieces from scratching against other jewellery.

A glint enters softly, opening a composition about to take form.
