Ancient symbols, rearranged within a new order.
Origins
-
Carnelian II begins with the sign, advancing the series into a structure designed to be dismantled and recomposed.
-
Two detachable relief elements carry the respective hieroglyphic languages of Heritage and Ēlektron. The two groups of signs face one another; meaning is no longer read along a single path, but formed in the space between them.
Structure & Wear
-
Composed of two detachable relief elements and two independently wearable short chains. Through different points of connection, the piece can be reconfigured as a necklace or waist chain.
-
Before wearing it for the first time, please refer to the enclosed guide and ensure that every ring is fully seated within its hook.
Materials
-
Cultured freshwater pearls|Each pearl possesses its own naturally irregular contour and tonal variation.
-
Vintage glass beads|Made in Japan in the 1950s. Each bead bears a distinctive dimpled indentation, creating subtle shifts of refraction and shadow across its curved surface.
-
Carnelian|Natural carnelian in cylindrical cuts; colour, translucency and natural markings vary from piece to piece.
-
Brass|The relief elements, chains and clasps are made from gold-plated brass. The pearls and carnelian are individually linked by hand with brass wire, preserving space and movement between each element.

Care
-
Pearls have a comparatively soft surface. Avoid impact, abrasion and contact with hard objects to prevent scratching.
-
Avoid exposing gold-plated brass to perspiration, perfume, chemicals or moisture. After wearing, gently wipe each component with a soft, dry cloth and keep it dry to help preserve the finish.
-
Gold plating will gradually wear according to frequency of use, friction and environmental exposure; it is not a permanent surface treatment.
-
When detaching a relief element, hold the connecting ring rather than pulling the chain or bending the hook.
-
Store each component separately and flat to prevent tangled chains, pressure on the hooks, or abrasion from other jewellery.
Meaning unfolds in the space between.
